Hi, I'm Jakob
Curious about technology for as long as I can remember
I grew up experimenting with software and hardware — over-the-top PowerPoint decks at age six, basic websites before secondary school, and eventually a degree in applied informatics at HOGENT here in Ghent.
College taught me there is more to IT than writing code alone — product thinking, UX, and how systems fit a business. I still learn by building. These days I freelance for companies that need software, technical direction, or building automation; the professional side lives under Services if that is what you are after.

After science & mathematics in secondary school at Don Boscocollege Zwijnaarde, I studied toegepaste informatica at HOGENT — with a specialization in mobile applications.

What I do today
Since 2022 I have been freelancing as a software engineer — software development, consulting, and building automation for Belgian businesses, with direct collaboration and no agency layer.

All-round DJ for private and public events since 2014 — same person, different playlist, usually on weekends.
